DevExpress Pivot Grid Core Library

The DevExpress.PivotGrid.Core package provides platform-independent types and data-processing functionality for DevExpress Pivot Grid and Pivot Table components.

Use this package with a platform-specific DevExpress Pivot Grid or Pivot Table package. It provides shared APIs for data binding, expressions, summaries, calculations, data processing modes, and advanced analytics. It does not include a standalone visual control.

Included APIs and Features

• Data Binding API - Binds Pivot Grid fields to data source columns, calculated expressions, and window calculations.
• Expression Engine - Evaluates expressions, aggregate functions, and calculated field values.
• Summary Calculations - Provides common summary types and controls how calculated values are displayed.
• Window Calculations - Supports running totals, moving calculations, differences, rankings, percentages of totals, and custom window expressions.
• Advanced Analytics - Provides APIs for custom aggregate functions and advanced calculations.
• Data Processing Modes - Defines the Legacy, Legacy Optimized, Optimized, Server, and OLAP data processing modes used by platform-specific Pivot Grid components.
• Optimized Calculation Engine - Improves data-processing performance and enables expression bindings and window calculations.
• Shared Pivot Grid Models - Provides platform-independent base classes, interfaces, options, and enumerations used by DevExpress Pivot Grid implementations.

How to Use

The DevExpress.PivotGrid.Core package does not include a visual Pivot Grid component. Install and use the package that corresponds to your application platform:

• WinForms - DevExpress.Win.PivotGrid
• WPF - DevExpress.Wpf.PivotGrid
• Web - DevExpress.Web.ASPxPivotGrid

Platform-specific packages expose the visual control and derive their fields, bindings, calculations, and options from the common Pivot Grid Core APIs.

Whether you own a license or want to start a 30-day evaluation period, register your DevExpress license key. To obtain your key, log in to the DevExpress Download Manager.
